Coconut husk is not waste. It never was.
Bhuvaneshwari Coir Traders turns a by-product of the coconut harvest into growing media, fibre, yarn and rope for buyers in more than ten countries — from a facility in Karimangalam, Dharmapuri.

Building a Greener, Cleaner, Stronger Future.
Through ethical sourcing, skilled craftsmanship, and honest trade, we turn coconut husks into products that restore soil, support farmers, and reduce global plastic use.
That is the short version. The longer one is that a coconut is harvested for its flesh and water, and the husk around it — roughly a third of the weight — has historically been burned or left to rot. Processed properly, that husk replaces peat in a greenhouse and plastic in a geotextile. We are in the business of making sure it gets processed properly.

Ten years, one material
- 2014
The first press
Started with a single hydraulic press and a local supply of coconut husk, selling cocopeat blocks into the domestic horticulture market.
- 2017
First export container
Our first container of cocopeat left Chennai. Learning to meet another country's specification changed how we thought about quality control.
- 2020
A Low EC grade
Added washing capacity to make a thoroughly washed Low EC cocopeat grade, so we could serve salt-sensitive crops properly instead of turning that business away.
- 2023
Ten markets
Crossed ten destination countries, with repeat buyers across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
